Philippines has an area of 300,000sq km
(115,800sq miles), capital Manila (on Luzon).
The largest islands are Luzon 108,172sq km

timber, tannin, and the creation of fish
ponds, the mangrove forest was reduced from
5,000sq km (1,930sq miles), to 380sq km
(146sq miles) between 1920 and 1988 features
Luzon, site of Clark Field, US air base used
as a logistical base in Vietnam War.
